I keep talking about having your own domain, This is one flex of mine which will be hard for people to pulloff if you dont own your domain.
It doesnt matter what service providers are behind these services where i run my website or hosting provider i use. What software i use for XMPP or email or Fediverse identity doesn’t matter. Coz my identity is tied to my own domain.
