If you are truly interested in retaining the culture that you (as a founder) inculcated, ensure you are connected with the lowest level (youngest level) in the company: Sit with them, talk to them, connect with them. The biggest trouble with growing startups turning into businesses is that top line and bottom line takes up most of the time for the founders instead of being there for the team. no matter how many layers and competent people you will find you still need to be connected to the ground and take their feedback to heart. Understand why they call the baby ugly and work on it.
